Who We Are
From very early on in the history of Esperanto people formed clubs and societies for the purpose of learning Esperanto and helping each other become proficient in the language. This is still the case.
The World Esperanto Association ... Universala Esperanto Asocio (UEA) ... is the largest worldwide organisation of Esperantists and is based in Rotterdam.
Most countries have a national association which helps run courses and informs the public about Esperanto in their own language, and many towns in many countries have a local Esperanto Club or Society.
These clubs are where learners can meet and speak with proficient Esperantists who will help them as they progress in the language.
